CHM brings home the bacon for CEU Malolos
As part of the celebration of Singkaban 2011 in honor of Our Lady of Victory, patron saint of Bulacan, Centro Escolar University Malolos through the College of Hospitality and Management joined the Kalutong Bulakenyo Cooking Competition held last September 12 at the Tanghalan ng Sining at Kultura and triumphed over ten (10) worthy opponents.
Out of 11 colleges and universities in Bulacan, the representatives of CEU-Malolos, Michelle Ann Kate Agustin, Marisol Jose, Mark Vincent Ramos, together with their coach, William Alcantara, brought home the bacon after winning the 1st place, receiving awards of Php 20, 000 cash prize, trophy and gift packs from Ajinomoto and San Miguel Foods Corporation.
The contestants contended in four categories involving the preparation of ham and the making of appetizer, main course, and dessert. Fortunately, CEU-Malolos representatives stood out and bested the others.
Other contestants, however, received consolation prizes from Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado for showcasing their outstanding cooking skills.
